Divine Talent Hub

Events

The Hong Kong Internship Program offers engaging weekend activities to optimize your experience in China. Despite your daytime commitments, these activities are designed to maximize your experience of the city’s offerings. While your internship is vital, it is crucial to capitalize on the opportunity of residing abroad.

City Guided Tour

Let us explore your new city, Hong Kong, by seeing its remarkable monuments. Hong Kong is undoubtedly one of the most multicultural cities globally; thus, ensure to carry your camera as we will present this former British colony. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the remarkable attractions and engage with fellow Divine Talent Hub students.

Macau

We will spend one night experiencing Macau, sometimes referred to as the Las Vegas of the East. Macau is a former Portuguese territory located 60 km west of Hong Kong, characterized by its Chinese and Portuguese cultural heritage. We will ferry to Macau from Hong Kong, where you will observe the historic Ruins of St. Paul Church, view the impressive casinos, and more before returning to Hong Kong.

Victoria Peak

You will visit Victoria Peak for exceptional views of the city, harbor, and other islands. The foremost activity to undertake in Hong Kong, as per Time Magazine. The panorama from Victoria Peak encapsulates the essence of Hong Kong. From this renowned vantage point, one may observe one of the world’s most exquisite harbors and a skyline so remarkable that Manhattan appears provincial by contrast. The view you will experience is indescribable.

Excursion to Lantau Island

Embark on a full-day excursion to Hong Kong’s largest and most renowned island, an experience not to be overlooked, as we will explore the “Buddhist Kingdom in the South.” Lantau features stunning mountainous peaks, beaches, and the internationally acclaimed Hong Kong Disneyland. To observe the world’s tallest outdoor bronze Buddha, constructed in 1924, one must ascend roughly 268 stairs for an up-close view. The Buddha stands 75 feet (35 meters) tall and has a weight exceeding 200 tons. You will partake in a traditional Cantonese luncheon and explore historical temples. We will complete the day with an exhilarating 25-minute, 360-degree cable car journey from Ngong Ping to Hong Kong. A journey that provides sweeping vistas of the South China Sea and the picturesque mountains of the island.

Unfunded Events

We want to assist you in cultivating friendships and familiarizing yourself with your new city. Our Divine Talent Hub staff will organize weekly unsponsored events for the entire community. Attendance at these events is optional; however, we strongly advise participation, as they will facilitate your acquaintance with both your new city and the host country.
