You will share a room with one other program member, which has a private bathroom and toilet. You will reside with the other participants, ensuring you never experience solitude in the city. The intern residence in Barcelona offers shared amenities including laundry facilities, a café, communal areas, and study rooms.

Transportation in Barcelona

Public transportation is highly accessible and the predominant means of traversing Barcelona. While residing in Barcelona over the summer, one can anticipate use public transportation, particularly the subway and bus, daily for commuting to one's internship. The subway typically works from around 5:00 am to 1:00 am, hence travel during the early morning hours may necessitate the use of night buses and/or taxis.

Upon arrival, you will be issued a Travel Card T-Mes, which permits unlimited access to the public transportation network, including buses, metros, trams, and cercanías trains in Barcelona.

All cultural trips and weekend activities in Barcelona have been organized with student safety as the foremost consideration. Upon arrival, you will undergo an orientation to acclimate yourself with the living facilities, surrounding neighborhood, and public transportation options. You will receive essential contact information, as well as instructions on health protocols, emergency procedures, and safety measures during your summer in Spain.
